While this is frustrating and painful for women trying to get pregnant, it is very possible for them to increase the odds of having a successful pregnancy by taking an active role in their health. PCOS is not a final verdict and can be managed with a proper diet. Nutritional supplements have also proven very helpful is decreasing the chances of a miscarriage. Taking better care of yourself means giving your body a fighting chance to deal with PCOS. Proper diet and natural supplements can help the body maintain a pregnancy through successful delivery. This is excellent news for women who have been overwhelmed with the symptoms of PCOS.

The high rate of miscarriage in women with PCOS may be caused by high levels of insulin. Insulin resistance can occur when your body reject insulin, making it difficult for it to convert sugar into energy. It can also cause blood clotting that can prevent the placenta from properly nourishing the fetus. When this happens, a miscarriage can occur. Insulin resistance is a serious condition, and it may be caused by a poor diet, which is why healthy eating habits and supplements can make such a difference.

While this may sound frightening and discouraging, it does indicate that positive changes in habits and diets can greatly reduce the chances of miscarriages in women with PCOS.

One of the ways to prevent your body from spontaneously aborting is by providing it with healthy food. You should be decreasing your intake of processed and fast foods or eliminating them from your diet entirely. This goes for unhealthy fats, as well. These foods do nothing to benefit your body, and ultimately can deplete it of nutrients.

Fresh, preferably organic, fruits and vegetables are a tremendous source of nutrients. You should be eating as many helpings as possible each day. In addition, nuts, legumes, lean meats and fish can provide the nutrition necessary to deal successfully with PCOS and help prevent a miscarriage. Also, an improved diet can reduce your risk of diabetes, which is another serious issue for women with PCOS. Making a few changes in your diet can affect PCOS in a positive way and make it easier to deal with. For more information on how your diet can help you maintain a healthy pregnancy, see Diet E-Book.

Women with PCOS frequently suffer from obesity. A healthy diet, as well as exercise, can help with weight loss. Exercise doesn’t have to mean an arduous session at the gym. Walking, swimming, dancing, playing tennis are all fun ways to challenge the body.

A factor frequently overlooked when discussing PCOS and miscarriages are environmental factors. We are exposed to an abundance of toxins every day that can adversely affect pregnancy. Much of the fruits and vegetables that we should be eating can be coated with poisons or toxins.

It’s important to always properly wash all produce. A water and cider vinegar bath is especially effective.

Stress is another toxin to your overall health that can affect the chances of a successful pregnancy. In addition to exercise, meditation and yoga can be extremely helpful in reducing stress.

Discuss the use of nutritional supplements with your doctor. You will find useful information at Supplement Store. The right supplements can provide your body with an additional boost to increase your health and the health of your baby. A study at the University of North Carolina involving 4,752 pregnant women showed that nutritional supplements decreased the risk of miscarriage.

PCOD can be frustrating and stressful. The good news is that there are actions you can take to increase your changes at controlling the symptoms and lowering the risk of a miscarriage.
