I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PCOS ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO AFTER MANY YEARS OF HAVING IRREGULAR PERIODS. I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS SINCE I FIRST GOT MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE. AT 13 YRS. OLD I WAS PLACED ON BIRTH CONTROL & I STAYED ON IT FOR ABOUT 3 YRS. SOON AFTER I STARTED TO HAVE REGULAR PERIODS BUT THEN I WENT BACK TO HAVING IRREGULAR PERIODS. SO I WAS PLACED BACK ON THE PILL FOR ABOUT 3 YRS. & DECIDED TO GET OFF OF THEM AGAIN. I GOT PREGNANT SOON AFTER BUT HAD COMPLICATIONS.

FOR THE NEXT 2 YRS. EVERYTHING WAS SOMEWHAT NORMAL AND THEN I GOT PREGNANT AGAIN BUT THIS TIME I HAD AN ECTOPIC PREGNANCY & HAD MY RIGHT FALLOPIAN TUBE REMOVED.

SO NOW AFTER TWO PREGNANCIES & NO BABIES I DECIDED NOT TO PUT MYSELF THROUGH ALL THE HEARTACHE & STARTED BIRTH CONTROL AGAIN. I GOT OFF OF THE BIRTH CONTROL AFTER ABOUT A YEAR. I'VE BEEN MARRIED FOR 5 YRS. NOW & HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCEIVE FOR 3 OF THOSE 5 YRS. & NO SUCCESS.

MY DOCTOR HAS PUT ME ON CLOMID 50 MG FOR 3 MONTHS. IF THAT DOESN'T WORK THEN THE NEXT STEP IS TO HAVE A D & C & THEN CONTINUE ON THE CLOMID.

I'VE BEEN TOLD ABOUT AN HERBAL TEA CALLED CHICKWEED THAT CAN HELP OUT WITH THE PCOS. I HAVEN'T STARTED DRINKING IT YET BUT I'VE BEEN TOLD ABOUT 2 SUCCESS STORIES FROM WOMEN WHO HAVE DRANK THIS TEA. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THIS TEA HELPING WITH PCOS OR OF ANY TEAS THAT CAN HELP WITH PCOS OR INFERTILITY?

HERE'S HOPING THAT SOMEDAY SOON I CAN HAVE THE BABY THAT I'VE BEEN LONGING TO HAVE. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR SUCCESS STORIES. YOUR STORIES HAVE REALLY GIVEN ME HOPE.

=======================

Editor's note: I've haven't yet seen any evidence that chickweed tea is effective for PCOS. However, we did report that spearmint tea was quite effective for reducing testosterone and hirsutism in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

Here is the web page that tells you about spearmint tea:

Spearmint tea wonders on lowering testosterone
by: Anonymous

Hey Ladies out there who is worrying on high testosterone levels and pcod, here is my success story..

I was diagnosed with pcod in 2013 december. I have not paid much attention to it as I was getting my periods for 40-45 days range. I had 2 miscarriages, one at 4weeks and another at 20weeks ( induced abortion due to baby's abnormal growth) in 2015 feb. After 6months on bc pills, i started ttc with no luck. Went on clomid for 3months no luck. taken 3 iui's with no luck and removed fibroid, done hysteroscopy.

By then my periods were 90days,70days..etc.
Now, I am done. I decided to focus on my menstrual cycle first but not on kids. I started a vegan diet, cut down my carbs, daily 30mins walk. my period came at 90days, then 70days. I started spearmint tea after reading the study published in ncbi. then my period came at 49days, my testosterone levels were 81. Next cycle i got my period at 32 days with my ovulation at 16/17th day. And my testosterone levels are at 33.
I drink 2 cups of spearmint tea (since a month from now) daily for 5days in a week and it did real wonders to me. It is worth giving a try instead of investing many dollars on artificial processes like iui's and ivf's.

I also had PCOS and had one child without any problems. Then when we were ready to concieve our second child we were unsuccessful for 2 years. I went to my ob/gyn and was started on femera. After 2 cycles of this medication I was pregnant.
