No PCOS success story yet but hopefully soon...a few suggestions

I'm 23 yrs old and have been ttc for 2 yrs. I have one 8 yr old son which makes this even more confusing. Month after month I have been left with the pain, confusion, anger, and disappointment of not being able to conceive.
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago. My ob/gyn put me on metformin and clomid. In the past 3 months I have changed my diet and lost 16 lbs.
Last month I was really hoping and praying that I would be pregnant but once again after my pregnancy test I was left devastated. I cried for days and honestly didn't know what else to do.
I found this website a couple of days ago and have been reading all of the success stories and different regimens that have been used and it has given me hope. Thank you all for your wonderful stories. It's good to know that I'm not alone in this. God Bless You All!

Editor's comments: Successful management of PCOS and infertility requires a truly comprehensive approach that goes well beyond taking drugs such as birth control pills, metformin, Clomid, etc.
We suggest that you complement your drug therapy with:
- a healthy diet specifically designed to reduce symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome and improve fertility.
- significantly increased levels and frequency of exercise.
- use of selected nutritional supplements.
A healthy diet and exercise are discussed in Dr. Nancy Dunne's book.
If you have a progesterone deficiency (common in PCOS), consider vitex, which helps your body to produce more progesterone. Without progesterone, it's hard to have a normal cycle.
If you are overweight and have blood sugar or insulin problems, consider d-pinitol as something that can help you to gain control over this problem. Reducing weight and improving insulin efficiency will help you toward your fertility goals.
