1) ) Omega-3 Fats Have Multiple Health Benefits
Dozens of medical studies have shown that consumption of omega-3 fats, such as fish oil, have multiple health benefits.
The medical evidence indicates that increased consumption of or supplementation with omega-3 fats can be helpful for these disorders: cardiovascular disease, high blood fats (such as triglycerides), high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, metabolic syndrome, obesity, inflammatory diseases, neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, and eye diseases. Some women with PCOS may have or will develop several of these disorders. Fish oil is a healthy way to reduce these risks.
Also, consumption of omega-3s during pregnancy reduces the risk of premature birth and improves intellectual development of a fetus. DHA, one of the omega-3 fats, is especially important for proper development of your unborn child. That's one reason why there is extra DHA in the Wellness Essentials for Pregnancy product on our site.
The best sources for a complete array of omega-3 fats are cold water fish and fish oils. If you purchase a fish oil product, make sure it is from a supplier that guarantees it has been tested to be free of contaminants such as mercury. The fish oil product in our online store has been tested by independent laboratory analysis to be clear of toxic elements.

2) Benefits of Lean Body Mass - Tip from a Personal Trainer
TIP #1: Here is the greatest fat loss and amazing body maintenance method there is. By increasing your LEAN BODY MASS you increase your body’s rate of burning calories AND the way that your body feels and performs!
Your body consists of 3 basic elements: water, fat and lean body mass (mostly muscle). Lean body mass is the place where fat calories are burned off.
When first starting out to exercise, it is very important to get the correct information. As you learn about the how's and why's of exercise, you may find yourself swimming your way through some big silly myths, daft misconceptions and some purely bizarre untruths. But help is here!
Together we will filter out these fitness fairy tales and help you get on the right track to exercising correctly -- with great results!
BIG SILLY MYTH # 1:
Aerobic exercise (jogging, walking, etc.) is the only form of exercise that you need to effectively control your weight.
AWESOME FACT # 1:
When performing an aerobic exercise program (running, cross trainer, elliptical machines, exercise bike) alongside a calorie restricted diet, it actually does little to help you preserve your LEAN BODY MASS.
The MORE lean body mass you have, the MORE calories you burn and use to maintain your normal bodily functions -- and keep your weight under control.
In other words the lower your lean body mass is, the lower your resting metabolic rate will be. (You want your metabolic rate to be high, not low!).
As a result of a low calorie, high aerobic lifestyle it is HIGHLY likely that you will regain some or even ALL of the weight that you lose.
FABULOUS SOLUTION # 1:
When you start an exercise program that is designed to improve your level of muscular fitness AND weight loss COMBINED, you enhance the likelihood that you will be able to maintain your level of LEAN BODY MASS.
Which means that the best exercise prescription to manage your weight is to COMBINE aerobic AND strength training. This sort of exercising will allow you to expend a larger number of calories!

3) Is PCOS and Ovulation Affected by Socio-Economic Status?
Does how much money you make and how educated you are have anything to do with polycystic ovary syndrome and lack of ovulation?
That's an interesting question that was investigated by a team at the University of Palermo in Italy, in a study of 244 women with PCOS.
Surprisingly, 43% of the high income women appeared to be ovulating while only 21% of the low to medium income group were able to do so. Lower family income was also associated with higher body weight, waist circumference, insulin, and insulin resistance.
The amount of education was even more startling. In those PCOS women with low education, only 12% were ovulatory PCOS compared with 47% of the individuals with high education status.
We don't know the reasons why this is so. But in any case, if you have a low income or educational level, don't worry. We can't increase your income, but we can provide you with more education for dealing with PCOS.
You can take time to read the web pages on this site, which provide information that will empower you to deal more effectively with PCOS. This costs nothing.
Secondly, even though your financial resources are limited, you can invest the Natural Diet Solution for PCOS and Infertility ebook, which provides you with diet and lifestyle recommendations for polycystic ovary syndrome. Even if you don't follow the recommended diet because of its cost, you can still apply the basic healthy diet principles described in the book.
By reviewing this web site and reading this book, you will be educating yourself. By doing so, you should be able to get better health results.
